Except in Utah, many of our lawmakers own, operate, manage and build Utah Charter schools. They've passed laws to protect their finances from the taxpaying public, lower teacher qualifications for Charter vs. Public Schools, ignore zoning laws and basically run them with impunity. My daughter's friend was a waitress while she was going to college. Worked in a nice place. She said that you wouldn't believe the low tips. Always from people that never ordered alcohol. She heard "I don't give the lord more than 10%, I'm not tipping more than that". Like it's a badge of honor. Some people don't belong in public.
