"Utah had the strongest third party turn out in his first election. I think they align more with Mittens than the orange man." No, not anymore. They ran him out of office because he wasn't crazy enough. Look at our State Legislature. The more right wing cruelty, the better chance to get elected. People like Romney, Flake, Cheney, etc. are now leftist liberals and RINO's. It's sad how

Yeah, well, the way Dear Leader is pissing off everyone, including our long time allies, Americans, not just mormons are not welcome or get a cold reception everywhere. My wife is a flight attendant/ Instructor supervisor. When she flies it's always SLC to Paris, London, Amsterdam and now Inchon. Flight crews have taken to putting maple leaf bag tags and stickers on their luggage. I'd hate to be

You were good friends. Until you left the church. You expressed your wishes to remain friends and she ignored you. Cut you out of her life for 20 years, meaning she was really never a real friend. Just another conditional fake friend based on your church membership. She ignored you and your family for 20 years, you can ignore her and her family for 1 day. Don't go.

Except in Utah, many of our lawmakers own, operate, manage and build Utah Charter schools. They've passed laws to protect their finances from the taxpaying public, lower teacher qualifications for Charter vs. Public Schools, ignore zoning laws and basically run them with impunity. They're all a bunch of crooks.

" Anything mormon-affiliated will receive a skeptical eye." Wyoming always has. The sad thing is this corrupt "school", which doesn't pass financial muster, and would be denied in most other States is allowed to exist and thrive in Utah, in spite of all the legal issues that they have. Mormons love crooks, as long as it's their crooks.

If only Utah did. Oh wait, they're owned by Utah politicians, the friends and families. The even get to operate under different financial rules, legal rules and hiring rules than Utah public schools have to play by. Scammers and right wing bigots, the lot of them. https://www.sltrib.com/news/education/2025/06/29/how-utah-charter-company-american/

Yeah, but Texas just passed the same type of bill. They're trying to wear out our court system to force the 10 commandments in schools. Blue states should pass bills, that they know will lose in courts to force copies of the Koran in every public schools. Maybe that will stop this crap. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/2025/06/21/gov-abbott-signs-ten-commandments-bill-mandating-display

I went back to Texas for my Fraternity's 45 year reunion. We we're all talking about growing up in that era. We had the best cars, the best music, the best clothes and the best women the world has ever seen! I like magic carpet ride, but my favorite Steppenwolf song is Born to be Wild!

Kind of ironic that the first part is singing about a "Magic Carpet Ride", which was trippin on hallucinogenics. In 1966. Then, 2 years later, Steppenwolf is encouraging a girl to go on a Magic Carpet Ride.

Yep. Plus some restaurants make all their servers pool their tips and all get an equal cut. The good ones subsidize the low tip earners. We always bring cash. Pay the bill with a points earning credit card and zero the tip. Leave them a cash tip so hopefully it all goes to them.

My daughter's friend was a waitress while she was going to college. Worked in a nice place. She said that you wouldn't believe the low tips. Always from people that never ordered alcohol. She heard "I don't give the lord more than 10%, I'm not tipping more than that". Like it's a badge of honor. Some people don't belong in public.

Thanks Susan! I really appreciate it. I didn't have an Etsy account, so I've tried to register and also tried signing in with Google. Get an error message. Keeps telling me to try again. I've tried 8 times with no luck. Looks like a good kit. Wish I could grab it. I'll try to figure out another way. Thank you!

Thank you. I should've been more specific. I'm looking for the two seat version the F7F-3N. The nightfighter. That's what my Dad flew. I would love the one that you found, if it were a 2 seater. Thank you Susan.

Summer. You're usually pretty sharp. But if you think that "Mormon Housewives" or 'The secret lives of mormon lives" are close to any reality, you're way off. Or anything that you see on any "reality" show. It's all contrived melodrama designed to shock and intrigue you. It's all bullshit. All of it.

Not true. Every year there's a furor over kids getting turned away from their proms for their dress. 99% girls. And the rules are totally arbitrary. Necklines, hemlines, backless/strapless, even sleeves. And it depends on the teacher doing the judging. They let some girls in while another girl wearing the exact same dress gets let in. And each High School seems to have different rules and enforce

Idaho usually competes with Utah to do some of the most stupid stuff in the country. But, with this mormon clown show, Bundy, they're doing the smart thing to ignore him and keep him from coming back to Idaho. Their gain is Utah's loss.

Yeah, it's not surprising. The new U Prez. is LDS. And, then the 86% mormon Utah State Legislature has been financially punishing the U. for issues and educational offerings that they don't like. It's nothing but strong-arm coercion that wouldn't be accepted in any other State but Utah. Plus, equating 2 years of arrogant kids, knocking on doors and pestering neighbors in suburban Colorado, is no

Utah mormon lawmakers successfully shot down a bill that would have made it mandatory for church clergy to report claims of sexual abuse to the police. They voted against it. Again. Utah is one of the few States that don't have that law. We all know why.
