Probably the same one described by this excerpt from an old joke: "She was a rotten old thing from the beginning. Her bottom was all shriveled up, and she smelled like old dead fish. She was always losing her water. She had a bad crack in the back, and a pretty big hole in the front. Every time I used her that hole got bigger, and then she leaked like crazy…"

I suggest you determine why your partner felt she had to keep her membership a secret from you. Secondly, determine what "need" the so called church is fulfilling. Answer these questions and you can determine how to proceed.

How in the world did that happen without your knowledge? Do you two not communicate with each other?

I suggest you change the part about being offended. I suspect that any indoctrinated mormon will latch onto that phrase and disregard anything else that follows. Leaving it as is will just feed into the tired old party line that such and such "was offended" and that is why they don't attend any more. Otherwise the letter is good.

If true, the story is very inspirational. Just think about that soldier being resurrected and inheriting the Celestial Kingdom. With his torso and "man parts" intact, he will still have the potential to attain godhood and father lots of spirit children!

Although this video is identified as a message to ex-muslims, it includes some great material about the absurdity of LDS beliefs. The LDS roasting begins at about 1:50 (the entire video is entertaining and worth watching). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmDPVUxUavQ

Only if you are a TBM. Then you should fake your unbelief in the church until they are mature and capable of making their own informed decisions. They would then owe you a sincere "Thank You" !

Probably so they will know of any potential weaknesses to be used to their advantage in the future. Rember this religion especially, and Christianity in general is based on making people feel inadequate on their own merits and in need of what only religion can offer.

Why is it always "your fault" when taking MoPhoney's challenge and feeling nothing, or not getting an answer to your prayers?

Over the last 15 years or so I have been to a number of practitioners, with names ranging from Body Somatic Practitioner, Reiki(sp?) practitioners and regular massage therapists. I was very spoiled as the first person I visited (the body somatic practitioner) performed myofascial release and other "energy" techniques, and his treatment was extremely effective for me and other family me

We bought an '02 Honda Odessy hoping to get a lot of miles out of it, but had bad luck with the transmission. Based on the advice of our mechanic, we just purchased a 2002 Toyota Sienna with 210,000 miles for $2,850. Mechanic says that a lot his friends are driving them - most have over 200K miles, and he says it is not unusual for them to go 300K or more. Do make sure, however that the ti

I see no reason for you to be concerned about making anyone here uncomfortable, or for you to be ashamed of your earlier posts. We are all human and everyone has done things that if given the chance they would do differently (myself as much as anyone). Life has taught me that dwelling on those things is not very productive. If you are having second thoughs about your choice of a username, it

Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science. Read more at: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/c/charlesdar141357.html

Assuming a piece of paper can be folded that number of times, it requires a relative simple mathematic calculation to determine the thickness. Offhand, I believe that calculation is 2 raised to the power of the number of folds, times the thickness of the paper. For example, folding the paper three times equals 8 layers, or 2 cubed. The reason the answer is not intuitive, I believe is becau

I view owning a fire extinguisher. With a little luck and if proper precautions are taken, neither is likely to be needed. The problem however, is that IF one is needed, it is usually needed quite quite badly! I own a couple of each but fortunately have never HAD to use either one.
