My sister wants my genealogy (or so I hear from my dad) that I spent weeks of research on, which I put in more than 1,500 names into my tree. So I thought, if you take one name and equal it to one person, that's over 25 hours of research right there. Can she spare just a few hours of researching the church for herself, as a trade off? I'd probably head her over to MormonThink, but there's

I always have my phone and check RfM on the bus, throughout the day, and whenever I'm bored. I make sure I go through mostly all of the posts. I'm addicted!

And that Joseph Smith's "marriages" were actually just sealings. So how do I prove this statement wrong with pro-lds sources ??

So true! I want to be appreciated for my work and not just be taken advantage of, just because I'm available.

So my inactive father got a call the other day to help out with a woman in the ward who is moving. He was on the bottom of the list of people to call. They didn't even thank him! If they couldn't reach him in time, a thank you card would be nice! Do they grow up thinking things will just be taken care of because you're mormon and you get special treatment?? Even when I was mormon, I knew when

I got both of my inactive parents out. It took a few months of me coming up to them, and telling them things I've found during my "coming out" of mormonism. I needed sources though because most of the time, they wouldn't believe me. I think what really freaked my mom out, is the part in the JoD where it says Jesus was a polygamist... for my dad, it was all the dirty facts on polygam

From this I can tell that only 3 wives had husbands that went on a mission: Marinda Johnson, Patty Bartlett Sessions, and Zina Huntington Jacobs. Are there only three?

This makes much more sense! So they're not necessarily hypocrites... they're just really awful people who like to see other people suffer. That's even worse!

Here's why I think all of the mormon prophets/apostles are in on the scam (or at least some of them): Why would you, a prophet, (not talking about Joseph Smith) create a rule like "no masturbating," "no oral sex," "no work on sundays," "no coffee," etc... if you enjoyed those things? Obviously in Joseph Smith's era, he made those rules to keep control on

It's sad people spend time worrying about things like this... all to find out later that none of it was worth worrying about.

"Mad hatter disease describes the symptoms of mercury poisoning, specifically its effect on the nervous system. These include paraesthesias, vision and hearing impairment, slurred speech, anxiety, hallucinations, irritability, depression, lack of coordination, and tremors." - from wikipedia. Well he had hallucinations. I don't know about the other symptoms though. ;)

I'm really shy. I was going to one ward most of my childhood up until high school when I had to switch wards. In this new ward, all the girls were fake and rude to me. Then they started love-bombing me for not coming to church, which I thought was weird, because they treated me so bad in church. I too, am very introverted/shy, and I was always asking questions that no one could answer.

"It's not because someone told me that I'm supposed to do it, and not because I no longer want to do music, but because it's the feeling that I've felt I need to do this with my life." I have a problem believing that..
