I am a filipino... I just recently resigned my membership from the church... I live in Caloocan but I belong in Novaliches Stake... The crisis you were talkin about is all over the place. Missionaries only want to increase their numbers they never really cared about the people they baptized... Members never really cared about them too... I served as a BML for a long time and I taught gospel essen

There are no direct commandments from God in the Bible to do polygamy! But it shows that he allowed it to happen like when he allowed Adam and Eve to partake of the forbiddened fruit. I am not sure! haha maybe there are somewhere in the Bible where he commanded it... but so far I didn't see anything. And Reuben is my temple name haha!!!

Also the most correct book says something in Jacob 2:23–24 about David and Solomon's plural wives as being abominable to God's sight. Why all of the sudden in D&C 132:1, he seems to have been the one who commanded such acts which he said was abominable to him in the first place! I want to pass out haha!

I think this is one evidence that Joseph Smith made up his revelations! If God really talked to him, then God must have made an error about what happened in the past or may simply have forgotten that Isaac only had one wife and that is Rebekah.. Dang! I'm so tired of this! When will this church end!?

why did the God of the heavens thought about the ministering thing aka "discipleship" just now. I am beginning to be love bombed by members through social media. Some members who did not even talk to me once when I was active started to care about me. I don't feel any genuine concerns at all.

...even the Mormon church and it's Trinity concept has evolved. From God the Father being just a spirit to having flesh and bones and the Holy Ghost from being just the mind of God and was without form to becoming a personage of spirit! But their most correct book has devolved! from being the "principal" ancestors to just being "among" the other inhabitants. Perhaps the Jew

That's a circular fallacy or can be appeal to authority fallacy it's like sayin' "God said there's no evolution. Therefore, there's no evolution bcoz God only speaks the truth. So that settles it"! They arrive into conclusion without sufficient evidence to support it. Most religion if not all especially mormons commits these common fallacies (ad hominems, appeal to ignorance and the

I know cola is not specifically forbiddened but green tea here was forbiddened by leaders to the point that they induce guilt to members who buys ramen, noodles and other goods that has green tea in its ingredients. Not that I care anymore anyway! :)

Dang it! It was kind of a pity to see that some members pay their tithing in a hope that they'll have fortune in the future! How I wish I could do something to stop this delusion. Lots of poor people here are still struggling. My family is poor but my parents and siblings are still paying their tithe in full. It's breaking my heart coz the reason why they do this is bcoz of the false hope that bc

I don't see you as extreme. I totally understand the anger and the blame you put to all people who cause such pain even to an imaginary make-believe being called god! I am still angry like hell to god and his control mechanisms called religion most notably the Mormons! I wasn't raised a Mormon. I was a convert... I once sacrificed a high paying job for the sake of keeping in line with the sabbath

I can somehow relate to you bro! god if he exist is a merciless being. He indulge with the pleasure of his eternity with his harem of inferior goddesses in his heavenly realm then incurs his subjects 10percent of their means to build him cozy temples while there were lots of poor members or people who can barely eat and have decent homes to live. He also gives people false hope! I still wonder ho

I heard one missionary saying that their super rich mission president here in Quezon City North Mission Philippines whose name is Stewart Hughes (CEO of Unicity International) says that because he was paying his tithing in full, God blessed him to become rich even if he was not attending church regularly. When asked by his bishop why he was not attending but still pays his tithing, he responded b

yeah, I think so too. The discussion were very long actually there were other LDS who commented on the question posted about how they can address polygamy when asked. Some answers are absurd but it seems to have closed or ended after LDS A gave his comment. I wanted to give a link to the thread but I'm just not sure if it's appropriate so I just copied it.

Here's an interesting discussion between two Mormons about Polygamy issues I read from a post in a LDS RM (LDS Returned Missionaries Worldwide) group. I think the LDS A is beginning to raise doubts about Joe Smith. (LDS A) Here's another thing! I think the issue is more than just polygamy! It was indeed written in D&C 132 that the first wife must give her consent first and if she did no

Then if your Tithing did not bring you out of poverty they would say it's not about material things but it's more about spiritual things or they would also say you are not doing it in a Lord's way? ... Damn that old fart Nelson.

I was visited by mishies again. They already know I don't believe in the church anymore. The senior comp asked me if I believe in God. He was a newly transferred missionary in this area. He was expecting me to say yes but I told him that I'd rather not believe on a being I really don't know exists. So, it ruined his plan on me whatever that is, so he went on to say that some people believe someth

There is nothing completely official in Mormon beliefs. What maybe regarded as official doctrine today may become heresy in the future. They say man may become as gods but you will hear their prophet Hinckley say in an interview denying the facts that they preach it and emphasize it.

I was quite disturbed about the author of this article trying to show that William Smith was just confused about the 1820 first vision to make it appear like it happened in 1823. What I can see is that William Smith has been consistent with all his statement about the first vision happened around 1823 and that it was an angel who told his brother Joseph who was 18 at that time not 14 to not join

When I received the hardcopy of my Patriarchal Blessing, I compared it to the other who went at the same time with me to get our PB despite of the counsel not to show it to anyone. I then realized that the way it was written was almost the same as the other with very little variations. It didn't feel very unique and special nor It appears to be inspired. So I threw it away.

although I currently considers myself as agnostic atheist which means that I currently don't hold a belief that God exists while at the same time do not claim to know any proof that would show that none do exist. However, I think that the historical Jesus has no business with the gentiles but only to the jews . The Restoration of his Kingdom will happen in His second coming and he won't delegate

Before I learned the dark hidden facts of Mormon history, I feel so much respect for the Mormon apostles and prophet, but now that I am an exmo, I cringe everytime I hear them speak or read their talks. It becomes easy for me too to detect their manipulative statements that are somewhat hidden by their soft spoken words and seemingly gentle demeanor. I think I got more discernment than ever befor
