Last time I attended was about 6 1/2 years ago. My husband had just told me he didn't believe and I had asked him to go to the temple with me to spark his testimony back. Yeah... didn't happen. =) I didn't go back after that, even when I was struggling with my personal belief. And my temple name was Naomi. =)

I just started "The Kite Runner." Its a completely different type of book than I'd usually read, but so far so good. Just finished "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix and almost done with "Derek"-which both have been amazing. And has anyone fallen in love with "The Trailer Park Boys?" One of the great perks to leaving an overly obsessive religion i

I like watching steamy romances and reading erotica- where there's a story line and the characters develop, more so than the typical porn movie. But hubs and I have been known to watch a bit of porn once in awhile together. Its funny and I've said this before on here- when I was fine with my husband watching porn, like gave him permission or the go ahead, he said the thrill and fun of it was go

My ex sis in law did this. Met a guy online right before she signed divorce papers and was married within a month- after 4 dates. She has a couple of kids too. Makes me so ill.

I'll be there for one morning this weekend and want a great coffee house suggestion. I won't have much time, and I'm not a fan of Starbucks- just a nice local coffee house would be ideal. Anyone?

A gal I know just went through the temple to be sealed to her family. As far as I knew they weren't active and loved things like alcohol and coffee, and were pretty open minded. When I found out I was literally shocked! I guess people still convert. It just baffles me in this age of information that people don't look into things a bit more.

I've gone through a couple names. When I first started to post I used my temple name. Then after awhile I posted under my real name. Now I've moved to this- which I had help with courtesy Man in Black. I love pilates and latte's so...

When I first discovered the church was the biggest lie of my life, I was obsessed with it- as many of you know happens. I couldn't read enough, watch enough, post here enough- in an effort to learn the secrets I wasn't told and to learn about things forbidden. I loved reading all of the exit stories both new and archived. I felt like I read this board inside and out almost daily. I was even f

I haven't been this ANGRY about this fucked up religion in a long time but this blog post did it to me this morning. Its all over my husbands FB- people totally agreeing with this blog woman. One of his "friends" claiming that Disney and PBS really indoctrinates our children... ok. So her taking her kids to church asking them to OBEY and forcing her beliefs onto them isn't indoct

I had the chance to go to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago with some friends. A couple of those friends were LDS. While two of us drank (and very responsibly) the others did not drink at all and you could tell they were VERY uncomfortable with the drinking. They were also very leery around the women/images that are everywhere down the strip. They'd hide their eyes (both male and female) and try

I live in SE Idaho and this winter(along with most of the country) has been hit pretty hard with cold weather- but Idaho is generally cold in the winter anyway. Below 0 days, snow, wind, etc. The sisters in the area are not prepared AT ALL for a regular/typical Idaho winter, let alone a damn cold one. Wearing only dress boots, no warm gloves, no scarves, no hats, thin dress coats, in nylons

I hope all goes well in your's and daughter's favor OP. As a mother of 3 daughters and 1 son I can't imagine going through something like this... And shame on you davidlkent. Girls (and boys) are raped in every situation imaginable. There was only one at fault- and that was the perpetrator.

I just finished "Winter Garden" by Kristen Hannah. It's one of those kinds I'm telling all my girlfriends about, and well, anyone else who will listen. At the end of it I did the "ugly cry" and I'll definitely be reading it again at some point. I really really loved it. So now I'm trying to decide what to read. Whatcha y'all readin'?

Last night I was with some family members (who are not active and haven't been for YEARS) and come to find out they are some of the most racist homophobic people I know. It shocked me. One thing that they did was compare gays to pedophiles. In their minds they are one in the same. At this point and after further discussion I had them leave my house. I need to just realize that while

According to tbm's its more scripture study. Has there been an Ensign article about this recently? Its all over my husbands FB. I can think of a million and one better ways to protect your children from the "evils" of the world, and scripture study ain't one of 'em.
