We both turned in our letters at the same time, but my husband has been out mentally for much longer than I have. What about you?

Gag. I saw this on FB and those who posted a comment were agreeing with the article. I learned early on that a Mormon pays nothing- so when non members asked me to sit I always took them up on it.

This may have been posted before, but here we go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dUI79EdDH9E She makes being a woman in the church sound so fabulous. Its not. I look back and realize how guilty, stifled, how belittled, how second class I felt. Women get guilt. Thats what they get. Tons and tons of guilt. Sheri forgot to mention that.

My friend suggested it and she's got pretty good reading taste. She said it was heart breaking but good. I'm not able to put it down yet:)

I just started "Beautiful Boy" by David Sheff and will read "Tweak" by Nic Sheff afterwards. Are you reading anything worth posting about?

http://exmormon.org/phorum/read.php?3,193779 But what I left out on this board but had on my blog were bullet points as to what I had issues with. Things like several first vision versions, polygamy, polyandry, kinderhook plates, DNA vs BOM, Adam/God, etc... you know all of those lovely tidbits that aren't taught about in Sunday school. So I guess I wasn't writing pro LDS stuff. But wha

Not for posting here, but for posting on my blog. I had posted my "exit/de-conversion" story on my blog and not too long after the bishop and a member of the SP came for a visit. My husband and I had were given a choice to resign of be exed- luckily the bishop was decent enough to give us a choice. We had our resignation letters in hand. Easy peasy.

I have a daughter that can be very challenging. She's been diagnosed with a handful of issues and sometimes (like last night) things can be overwhelming. She can become physically violent when she's mad. We're working on her issues with professionals, and sometimes I feel like progress is being made. We can go for days/weeks without an issue, then snap. I guess I just needed to know that

I read them and thought they were kinda fun. I had never ever read anything like that before, so I was intrigued. I'm so sick of people criticizing the author. She wrote a fan fiction and it made it big. The writing isn't great,,, but so what. I guarantee husbands/boyfriends/bed partners were much more satisfied while their ladies were reading those books. That counts for something!

One of my grandmothers passed away 12ish years ago. She had this smell... a very pleasant smell and I don't know if it was the laundry soap she used or her lotion or what. But I remember always loving how she smelled. I went thrifting today and found a super cute summer shirt that I had to buy. I didn't try on the shirt at the store, I tried it on just a few moments ago. When I slid the bl

I started a business last year. In doing so I had several weird coincidences. Several really weird ones. One of which was when I purchased my business equipment. I called some friends who had experience in the type of business I wanted to open. My intention was to ask work related questions and seek advice. But they had decided to close their doors and venture into something else which

TBM's seem to pick and choose what dreams are gods way of chatting with them, while other dreams are just that- dreams. For example... dreaming of a boy or girl= God saying to have a baby dreaming of a strange town= God saying its time to move dreaming of being home= God saying to be a SAHM (all of these are examples I have personally heard) I've had dreams where I go to school nak

Reading. LOVE it. And I love used books. There's something sensual about reading a book someone else has. I love to smell the pages too. Baking. Now that the weather is cooling down its time to turn the oven on again. Making jewelry. Exercise- most recently running. I also teach pilates twice a week. It makes me feel stronger when I sink myself into a workout. And all of the

I'm sure this was posted, and I tried to do a search but nothing came up. So I apologize if this is a repeat. I just read this post by Single Dad Laughing. I really enjoyed it and thought he made some really good points. http://www.danoah.com/2013/09/the-moving-target-of-morality.html/3

My husband did something like this a couple of times before he outright confessed to me that he didn't believe at all. One incident was during the FLDS raid in 2007 (?) and I was going off on how horrible it all was, how Warren Jeffs was a horrible person, yadda yadda. He then compared Jeffs to Smith. I argued for a bit then realized he was right. Every point he made I couldn't argue. But

I had to earlier this summer and it went better than I had expected. I understand there is a learning curve, but as time went on she got worse instead of better. I was loosing customers because of her and my VERY small business can't afford that. Its been better since this gal has been gone.

My husband complained about stomach aches for years and had all sorts of testing done. Nothing was ever physically found. He has severe anxiety and was put on anti anxiety meds and has done so much better.

Its women like her that just reconfirm how happy I am to be out of the church. There is no way in hell I'd want this person to ever teach my children. In her mind teens don't masturbate, kids aren't molested, sex is only for procreation, santa is real.

I'm finding more and more people are closet exmormons. One or both spouses go for social reasons or to avoid family conflict. I get it. I really do. But the thought that sends shivers through my body is when these same types of people say "its a good for the kids." or "we go for the kids." WHY???? Why put your kids through brainwashing and the laundry list of other issue

I've been debating whether or not to read "The Sins of Brother Curtis" but finally decided to. Im in the middle of it right now. That whole story alone should make any sane person question the motives of the "true" church. I'm also reading the "Dublin Diary." Whatcha readin'?

Don't listen to the haters. Its your head. Own it! If you want dreads- do it. I'm not ballsy enough to go through with it, but I've had the thought many times. Hair is something that can be changed so easily, even if you have to shave them off your hair will grow back.
