I am sorry. This is a common situation. From my perspective these are your choices: 1) Look into Christianity: consider not throwing out the baby out with the bathwater. There are tenants and teachings in Christianity that are inspired and fulfilling.Tell your wife you cant accept the church but you are investigating God outside of the church. Make it clear that in your mind the church and

I would have drawn BY with tire marks across his chest reaching out to a running JS saying "Warn Wilford!" the bus is being driven by a smiling crazy looking Monson.

As the new essay unintentionally hits the fan, Mormons are reeling and responding with their classic denials, claim of victim-hood and their typical repertoire of logical fallacies. Soon, their favorite defender, the straw man argument will be in full regalia, culminating in a passive aggressive indirect platitude statement (such as doubt your doubts, you have to go around the BOM, etc.) in th

I truly enjoy reading the talks of the day, when they would demand that that govt stay of of their marriage and state that marriage sohuld never be a state controlled ceremony. They also go on and on about sealings having nothing to do with the marriage and that polygamy is the only true form of marriage.

Their new found honesty has made them really step in it with this latest essay. We thank thee oh god for a prophet to embarrass us in the latter days! We thank thee that youtube is around, to keep old gordo in check! We now know the sordid details, described to us online today! we feel in a pleasure to read it and will google all the rest! http://postimg.org/image/gfdn649uz/

Mayne you did not read my post. I understand if it is a temporary stop.got it. The problem have is setting up a house there an begin to create alternative doctrine to explain away the lies. THIS has become an industry and its wrong. If you cant leave, whatever, but don't preach that you have some kind of authority for being apostate in order to easy the strangulation of self and the recruit

I had strong family ties- that does not make the church true. If it's not big deal-why don't they leave if they know its a fraud. Not speaking the truth makes them liars, living in a religion they know to be false makes them hypocrites, "dialoguing" their way into staying perpetuates the fraud and the abuse. I am not interested in a dialogue with people who compromise their mo

I respect whatever people want to believe. I just do not understand the ongoing NOM mentality. I read some of Delin's dribble. he is starting to sound like FARMS. But he is the Mental FARMS department. I love that he and other NOM think that their faith is deeper because than know it's not true and still believe it. That is not faith. That is weakness of character. They write these

Idiot Grand master of the KKK, Many things were called thing before that are not correct and are deemed racist now, sorry old timer. They don't have to be "Hispanics" to attend a Spanish branch. I am Hispanic and nowhere have I seen non Mexican prefer to be called Mexicans. Latino is from Latin America (which includes non-Hispanics like Brazilians, etc) "Hispanic"

I take what I say seriously. hence why I said it. Not everyone is gay, not everyone needs or seeks the truth. AND I respect the right of people to believe whatever they want. Just like I want be respected for what I believe...or post. I know people whose lives are better because despite all the evil mindfucking, they don't look at it too seriously and the structure and social interactions

One of the many reason, albeit a significant one, that caused me to decide to marry my ex was that there were coincidences that we felt were a sign from God. We both had a crazy single Aunt named Dorothy. Our ancestors came from the same area in Europe and we had the same last name. We are from the same family 12 generations apart. This to me was a sign from heaven, which when coupled with hor

well if it isn't the master of racial comments at it again. Those wards and branches are created to serve SPANISH speaking populations, not MEXICANS, so they are "Spanish branches", because of the language. There are no Mexican branches outside of Mexico. Because Mexico is a country, not a language.

They watch them like hawks. I know of a SP in Farmington, UT that works for the church. He took a work trip, and his assistant was single, they chose the same flight, which is a big no-no. She was intermediately fired and he was reprimanded. She did NOTHING wrong ,she has two master degrees, bright young girl. I know of a few, that left after screwing up or were made emeritus. But the top 15

Any false indoctrination requires a set amount of time to reapply. 3+ hours a week works for most people. if they change it it is to cut costs, a typical ward brings in a million dollars a month if you eliminate 1/4 to 1/5 of the cost and increase the profit for the same amount, you can really increase the revenue. it will also put more buts in the seat. On my mission the MP told us that most of

I cant respect a man who wont take care of his family, whatever the circumstances. I promise to take care of her and I cant pul the rug from under her while I make a lot of money and she doesnt. What example would that be to my kids? I tell them i love her as a friend and she will alsways be taken care of, that financial security takes care of about 40% of a divorce's stress and fighting.

The hearthbreak part is over. I take care of her becuase she is the mother of my children. She works part time now making 20k a year and I am fortunate to have the means to give her a lot more. The divorce decree we filed is very specific as far as money. It's all under child support and it fades as the kids leave the nest. I feel responsible until she is on her feet. There are other provisio

I have wondered of the other possible victims of JS, the ones that he did not even bother to tell the parents about because they were too little to be believed or understand. One does not simply start off in the Alger situation, clearly since he was "fond of playing with children", I worry that he worked up to the pretend marriages but in the meantime touched young girls that we will

not to brag but I taught Sunday school for over a decade and People, including the bishop, SP and even Q12 came to listen to my classes. It was a shock when I left and I made it clear that I did not study my way our, got offended, started to worship stan or did any of the typical cliches associated with leaving. I made it clear that it was clearly, plainly not the same church that JS founded a

1) Confirmation Bias 2) The BOM is written in such a plain monotone way that you can read into it just about anything you want. 3) The constant relentless droning, life long chant of "its true" 4) reading it until you believe it 5) getting emotional confirmation

So I went to pick up my son from my soon to be ex. Se got really nervous and finally blurted out- the High Priest group is coming! I said: sooooo? She just wanted to let me know. So as I am leaving and getting my son's stuff loaded in my car, they pull up. They delay getting out of the car. I know that they are there to talk about me and get the scoop for the SP. So they get out of th

I know exactly what your mean. They think that people just have not a chance to taste the delight of Mormonism and that the second they do, they will be hooked for life. What hey are really saying is this: I have a crazy view of the world and God. In my world view, facts are optional, this helps me to cope with life's challenges. If you promise to give all that you have to the church, y

Because it is not that the behavior is a sin, doctrinally speaking, it is that you are committing the greatest sin in Mormonism, disobeying a directive. It does not have to make sense, be scriptural-based, or even have a grain of Christianity in it. Yo just obey because they said it.
