I agree with you. I live in a hot summer state and I do not see how one could possibly forget their child. I have traveled with pets and never forgot them in the car. Moms and dads need to hang up their phones and pay attention when they drive. Maybe they would also pay attention to their kids

As a sheltered Utah teen, I read books by Judy Blume. They made me think and wonder about the world outside of my bubble. I started to consider other ideas which eventually would help me to question Mormonism. Another great book I read was Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit. M.E. Kerr also wrote some interesting books In Honors English we read a lot of literature. I liked Hemingway and Steinba

My dad had a saying: The first one can come anytime, the rest take nine months.

Absolutely! I have had so many that were fantastic. Even though it was out of my control, I am still haunted by the fact that my dad took our cats to the humane society when I was young.

I am from Utah but moved to another state and if I tell people I am from Utah usually the first thing they ask is if I'm mormon. They probably think that I am.

Saying judgmental things, wasting my time on pointless callings, paying tithing, giving talks in church...

I don't answer if I don't know who it is. I love that my cell phone has the ability to block callers. It's too bad that blocking numbers on a landline isn't as easy and last time I looked, it cost money for a service and/or equipment. It has been a while since I looked so it has probably changed. I remember telling one caller that I do not pay bills or donate money over the phone if I did not

Many with congenital heart disease have to pre-med when they see the dentist. It depends what condition they have.

I was in Cleveland and had some down time and went by myself to Kirtland. A tour was going on and I wish they'd have let me join it. Instead I had to wait for a group that was coming in. They didn't show up so the guide took me on a tour. Just me. It was kind of awkward being by myself and a recovering non-believing Mo. I tried to ask him some questions without sounding like one. It was cool to s

I know someone that sells $5 jewelry for Paparazzi. I figured out fairly quickly that it had to be an MLM, especially when she traveled 2000 miles to Hurricane, UT for a company convention. She also sells Plexus. I am not sure what that is. Maybe a weight loss product? I don't know if that is an MLM, but I tire of the posts about it. Thirty-one. I bought some of their stuff because my friend

My husband does this. At some point he almost always decides to start talking again. Sometimes with an apology, sometimes not. I tend to ignore him because he has to have his cooling off period and telling him we need to talk and work it out just doesn't work with him. If there is something that he needs to know or do I go up and tell him or text him and that's all I say to him. If I know I am in

That is hilarious! It looks like something in my cat's litter box. The one with the secret message is even better. So funny.

I love hearing these stories. I went to do baptisms for the dead one time. Every time I'd tried to go it in the past it was that "time of the month" and I wasn't allowed. Finally my big day arrives and I'm able to go. I was hoping to feel something special, to maybe finally get a real testimony since I'd been obeying all the rules. The man doing the baptisms was kind of gross lookin

I was wondering if it's the "whiteness" of the temple and the expensive looking furniture that makes people feel like they are in a special place. The decor is probably just another way to deceive everyone.

I'm so sorry. I wish I had some decent advice to give. I think she is losing out on a good guy for a fairytale of lies. Don't give up hope. Relationships sometime happen when you least expect it.

I think part of it may also be to keep the missionaries indoctrinated. If they have a temple nearby, they are going. Probably keeps them from having too much idle time since very few people want to hear what they have to say.

What you are going through sounds very familiar to what I've gone through. No need to be polite with them anymore. I tried to be polite in the beginning. That did not work. I was then very firm with them and told them not to contact me. At times I finally got rude. My never mo husband has let them have it. It didn't stop them. Block their numbers so they can't text or call you. Do whatever it ta

My dad wore his garments on the boat. He water skied so he would change into his swimsuit and then back into his clothes. It must have been such a pain to keep changing clothes. My mom wore hers, too. She didn't like the water so she never put on a swimsuit. Dad's garmies sure didn't save him from getting his hand sliced open when he was trying to fix something on the boat. We had quite the a

I don't get it either. They are lucky to get any converts at all. They have contacts that say they will come to church and they don't show up. This is a constant theme in my nephew's mission letters. Very few people are interested. He did manage to baptize an older lady. He said they would visit with her for hours. She wanted companionship and that's why she was easy pickings. He's even made comm

I did the same thing. I married a never Mo. I went somewhere without my family and got married with very little fuss or stress. I was not allowed to attend family weddings so why should they go to mine? I'd already been nagged to death by my sister about how the bishop should marry us and what not. All I wanted was a nice gown and not the fuss. I'm pretty shy anyway. I made the right decision for

So sorry you have to deal with this. Now that I am out of TSCC I feel sad when I hear of relatives going. I hope your grandson stays safe. My nephew is in South America and was sick right off the bat. Now he's sick again. When I asked his parent about it they said he looked fine in his pictures. Seriously? Parent wasn't worried? It's going to get worse as he's going to a much more remote area

Check out Desert Edge Brew Pub at Trolley Square. I do not know if they have Ipa on Nitro but they do have a Stout on Nitro that is awesome. I don't really love beer but my husband does and he makes a visit to Desert Edge every time we are in Utah.

I feel your pain jonny. I moved to a new house and had a lock box on the old house so realtors could show it. They were supposed to call first before they showed it in case we were there. Most of our things were out, but there were still a few things stored away that we had to deal with. We accepted an offer and a contingency of the offer was that the house not be shown. The house listing wen

My brother took me to a rated R comedy when I was in my late teens. I took my younger neighbor to Flash Dance which was her first R rated movie. She was still in high school and she loved dance so she really wanted to see it. I am surprised her mom let me take her. We lived in the morridor. Most of my friends were very adamant about not going to r-rated movies. I thought it was stupid to judge a

How can they be so dumb when they have heart or other health conditions? When I was a brainwashed TBM I knew that if I ever went on a mission it would have to be stateside and near proper medical care. I knew that from a very early age. I am glad I never had a desire to go. It would have been a huge mistake and I probably would have needed surgery while I was out. I can almost imagine all the gui
