I might just email her. She's being touted as a scientist with research showing the benefits of polygamy. I suspect she's either being misrepresented or she's confused. I know I saw several books she had written but I haven't seen any peer reviewed articles on research she's done -- so I was curious. :D

If that's the case just quietly tell her that if she bothers your brother again you'll go to her bishop about her presuming to take priesthood duties on herself. There is nothing to stop her from going to the police and accusing you, marks or not. So the sooner you're out the better. Then if she DOES go to the police all you have to say is that you are out of that situation and would love a restraining order. You don't WANT to be near her. Teach people what consent is, what rape is, that there is no excuse, that victim blaming is vile, etc. Some rapists are ignorant, angry and can be rehabilitated -- I'm all for that. Sexual predators do not respond to treatment well, however, and are unlikely to be rehabilitated. I'd love to see life in prison for them under humane conditions.

Since they legislate their morality on nonbelievers they obviously don't believe in "agency", free or otherwise. I don't know how anyone can accept: "You can choose to do what I say or you can choose to get your throat cut (or be tortured for an eternity)." as an actual "choice".
