Paying millions of taxpayer dollars to support a bunch of entitled people because they have the correct last name. How about feeding the poor instead.

Vaughn has had his head up the church's ass so long he can't see anything but their shit. My FIL asked Bro F to marry us in the holy temple. He lectured me in front of everyone at the temple pretending to have "discernment," and made my wife question whether she should marry me. Everyone in the room was looking at me wondering what the hell he was taking about.

People are leaving and others maybe not taking the church so serious, but there are still lots and lots of TBMs. The church also has lots and lots of money to keep itself afloat. I know someone in a high level position in a church owned company, and according to them, there is almost unlimited money in the church coffers. What I wonder about is how the new tax laws that don't allow charita

Stupid Mormon History Proudly Unfurled 1. Adam and Eve live in Missouri 2. God kills everyone and everything and Noah sails from the USA to the middle east. 3. All animals migrate from the mid east back to where they are today. For example, sloths trek across the desert then swim the Altantic to central america. 4. Thousands of years later, Nephites etc., retu

Yes, back in my TBM days, I was stupid enough to accept this calling. Each ward in the bldg takes turns. In may case it was my turn 4 months of the year. If I could not get anyone to do it, I had to do it. I got sick and tired of calling people, so lots of times I did it myself. A few times I just forgot and then I would go to church the next day and feel guilty. Jesus, I was a idiot. S

How about the historical version of the B of M that says, "principle" ancestors of the Am Indians was changed to "among" the ancestors... why was it changed? https://www.deseretnews.com/article/695226008/Debate-renewed-with-change-in-Book-of-Mormon-introduction.html Why doesn't anyone talk about Lamanites anymore. What happened to that huge program? How about the churc

Tell her you believe in god and your god actually created her God, so your god is better then her god. Mormons always say it's the one true church - their God is best. How do they know Mormon God is the best God? They feel it and by faith. You also have faith your god is better. This may at least get her thinking critically about it.

A bishop telling someone in financial trouble to pay tithing. Someone paying tithes instead of helping their kid through college. Touting families and family temple work, but telling Am Indians, Islanders etc., they are from Israel. No, you don't have rich hertitage, you are Jewish and now you need to wear a 1950's business suit and vote Republican.

My problem with porn is it objectifies women. In that way it's more about control and using someone as it is about sex. I agree it is like cheating (not a bad of course and not a "sin") and worse it promotes using/abusing people just to satisfy your own ego. It lets the dark side of human nature out in full view.

Walmart - LDS Inc. pretty much the same. Would you sacrifice yourself for Walmart? It's amazing just how much dogma can take over and control your life.

Conspiracies that involve thousands of people and no one spills the beans are crazy. My favorite is con trails. Every plane in America has a drum of bad chemicals hooked into the jet exhaust system. All the 1000's of pilots, mechanics etc., are part of this evil conspiracy, and no one ever tells.

If you health coverage and a pension. Do it. Lots of days I have been at work and said - I wish I was at home or someplace else, but I have never been at home and wished I was at work.

Great post. Church dogma (only true church etc..) is used to keep people in line. Overall the cult is just a capitalist enterprise, exploiting the members/workers to get as much profit as possible. For me, this is one great things about Rfm, people discuss both the dogma and how they were exploited.

Below is a quote from our new Dr., Mr Science prophet. It shows how far out of context he will go just to make a point and appeal to the average under-educated and willing to doubt my doubt Mormon. "Yet some people erroneously think that these marvelous physical attributes happened by chance or resulted from a big bang somewhere. Ask yourself, “Could an explosion in a printing shop pr

About 5 years ago we slowly stopped going to church. Over the years, We had periodic visits from home and visiting teachers and my wife would get texts and emails saying "they were thinking about us" and how much they cared about us etc. We live in Utah and the ward takes in very small area, so we saw people in the ward more or less every day. About 9 months ago we moved 30 miles a

Had a great experience at BYU and also met my wife. Despite the good experience, now that we are out we don't like to admit we went to BYU. I know, kinda immature, but you get put into the Mormon box and people have certain expectations as soon as you say BYU. You are also admitting you were dumb enough to stay in the LD$ Inc cult for a while.

Wanted to add that paid GAs are 60 plus guys that were successful, probably have house paid off, kids out of college and likely receiving retirement money from a career as well as full social security money if over 65 or 70?? In addition to their own retirement income they are getting 70-130K with expenses covered, medicare premium paid and who knows - maybe even some type of chruch funded IRA

In LDS Inc run Utah, silence from LDS Inc about climate change is also a free pass for the crazies in the Utah legislature to deny climate change and block actions needed to reduce CO2 emissions. If you believe in sin, isn't this a sin of omisson?
