OMG!! Within a week you "knew"? Wow. So impressive. And even more impressive that the timing allowed you to see and read the CES letter, which is a truly phenomenal document. Obviously, you have a more open mind than most of the brainwashed cult members. Good for you!! Way to go!!

My daughter who attends Berklee College of Music in Boston was just blocks away when the explosion occurred. For a few moments--until I ascertained that she was safe--I was uncomfortable. The thing is: who are these people? It is unfathomable that doing this kind of evil can be explained or justified. My sweet daughter, a student in Boston. Those sweet runners. . . just running. So diffi

I hope you seek and get effective counseling. You are probably suffering from PTSD. You seem to have a lot of things that need to be sorted out.

A friend of mine from childhood is now a patriarch. He babbles the blessings and his wife transcribes them, sometimes changing them.

I kept my birth name when I first got married. Took his name for some things after my daughter was born. Kept my own name professionally. When I divorced, I took his name off those items I had put it on and was totally my birth name after that. My daughter has a different name. That has NEVER been an issue or a problem. It is, of course, personal preference. There is no civil law sayi

Yes, Michael, it is correctly La Cañada-Flintridge. I lived in La Crescenta, which is next to La Cañada Flintridge, for 25 years. I now live in Tujunga but go to La Cañada to the Sports Chalet, Taylor's Restaurant and other places every once in a while. Lorraine: you lived in La Crescenta. How long? Any children attend Crescenta Valley High School? As one goes east from Tujunga, the t

I am hoping that the wearing of pants is now going to be a trend in the church. Little by little by little, more and more women wear pants. I remember in the 70s when a few women started wearing pants to work: high school teaching. I remember how long it really took for all the women to feel comfortable with the concept and the practice.

Actually, Carl is not responsible for Jane's medical conditions. He should not be making decisions based on the belief that he is.

36 Arguments for the Existence of God: a work of fiction by Rebecca Newberger Goldstein, a neurologist and wife of Steven Pinker, the linguist. I think they are both at MIT. This book was so engaging and funny, I finished it and then proceeded to read it a second time. Brimming with irony and a lovely look on the arguments that support the idea of god. Every argument is answered in the book

Wow! So curious as to whether I know this man. Is he a native Brigham City person? Maybe I'll go check my yearbook and see if he was attending Box Elder High School when I was there. . . . Susan: don't worry about my IRL information here. I don't give a rip.
