DW and I toured chandeleur brewing company (Gulfport, MS) and sampled the local crafty wares. Surprised to discover DW prefers porters and stouts after a couple years of largely ignoring the fruit of the barley. Finished off with a lovely dinner and time away from the kids. Came back home to learn we pawned off a night terror on the babysitter. YES! Double win for a Friday!

So Oaks cites examples of private institutions taking private actions and somehow equates that with a limitation on democracy? Dude..private persons or groups acting independently to make decisions IS democracy. The ONLY example with merit was the mayor...who was proven to be a dunce when the subpoena was thrown out. But, in the meantime...the church can "subpoena" persons, digital c

Houston is alright. Great Indian food, Mexican food, and close to a lot of easy getaways if you get sick of the Houston Metro area. Already big and still growing.

I. In the greenest of our valleys, By good angels tenanted, Once a fair and stately palace -- Radiant palace -- reared its head. In the monarch Thought's dominion -- It stood there! Never seraph spread a pinion Over fabric half so fair. II. Banners yellow, glorious, golden, On its roof did float and flow; (This -- all this -- was in the olden Time long

All good down here on the Gulf. Aside from the tantrum spectacle put on by our five year old, today was rather enjoyable without the obligation of TSCC. Slept in, got some child distractions for an upcoming drive, grilled out with some brewskis, and finished at the park with a beautiful sunset over the water. And I don't miss it one bit...strange how without man's search for happiness going on, y

This is just, the worst. “I am invisible, understand, simply because people refuse to see me. Like the bodiless heads you see sometimes in circus sideshows, it is as though I have been surrounded by mirrors of hard, distorting glass. When they approach me they see only my surroundings, themselves or figments of their imagination, indeed, everything and anything except me.” ― Ralph Ell

So...just to summarize Saturday as I understood it: There has been an increase in appendages in the missionary position. They are then persecuted for being placed in their powerful position. They are forbidden from using any other position.

If you have time, I think they still do the blue plate special on wdvx. Should be on Gay Street right before the old city. Downtown K-Town is gorgeous nowadays. Lots of great places off Market Square and Gay Street. You can go up in the sun sphere too. (No. There is not a wig store.) in South Knoxville there is a really nice park with hiking trails and a nature center. Knoxville is a great town t

What about the issue of putting "donations" into sub accounts within the ward/stake and then taking that money out and reassigning it as the church paying for services/supplies/etc. to phantom entities? All kinds of fun things go on with the hidden financials of lds corp. the Lard's money launderer.

Darrow's Response: "The trial at Dayton has done several things which are significant. Of the jurors who heard the case at Dayton only one of them had ever heard of evolution. Today in Dayton they are selling more books of evolution than any other kind, and the book shops in Chattanooga and other cities of the State are hardly able to supply the demands for works on evolution. The trial h

This is the Scopes trial with Tea and Crumpets. Beware the next William Jennings Bryan. It is for the jury to determine whether this attack upon the Christian religion shall be permitted in the public schools of Tennessee by teachers employed by the State and paid out of the public treasury. This case is no longer local: the defendant ceases to play an important part. The case has assumed t

America represents something universal in the human spirit. I received a letter not long ago from a man who said, 'You can go to Japan to live, but you cannot become Japanese. You can go to France to live and not become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany or Turkey, and you won't become a German or a Turk.' But then he added, 'Anybody from any corner of the world can come to America to liv
