There is a great 4C Natural Hair Chicks Facebook page. I wash my daughter's hair in sections. Washing it in sections has been the best thing I ever figured out :). For a couple of years I made her shampoo out of African Black Soap, jojoba oil and peppermint. Target has a great line called Carol's Daughter. She washes it a couple of times a week. YouTube offers a lot of help:) Good

Try a Google search of support groups in your area. Or, like another poster suggested, start a new thread here and ask. Coffee shop every Sunday morning is a good starting point.

Sorry for your pain. Continue to love and support your wife. Be there for her and your son. Focus on the baby. Come to the board for support and consider professional support (preferably not an LDS counselor). You are not alone. You're already not attending church, so your wife will not be too surprised. Perhaps someone on the board knows of an Idaho Falls support group.

Aloha All, It's been a while since I've posted. Does anyone have info on Great Basin College in Nevada? It's pretty close to the Utah border. Does anyone has info that would be great. Lots of Mormons? Any diversity? Is it as sleepy as it looks online? Very isolated? Mahalo for your time!

My nephew just got mission papers for Phillipines two weeks ago. There was a bombing in the country today. Sadly, the poor are targets for religion.

My brother-in-law went back. He was even rebaptised. It made me sad for him. And sad for myself because at least then I had someone to talk to and laugh about the bs. We haven't talked for a couple of years so not sure how he is doing. He just sent his son on a mission.

Oh...I am so sorry to hear this. For now tell her you love her and your family. And suggest you see a marriage counselor (non-LDS). Continuing the focus on common territory (ex.you are a good dad). Leave the harder discussions for counseling. If she is not willing to go to counseling...tell her you love her, and you are sad a religion and its tenants are putting her under such duress b

This article came across my facebook page (I didn't see it here). The article addresses the BYU commencement speech telling the new grads to disconnect from non-believers. The comments were a good read. Why does this religion insist on pulling families apart? http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2016/04/23/mormon-leader-at-byu-graduation-disconnect-immediately-from-those-who-ha

How uncomfortable do you think your child feels when she or he is alone with an adult male who asks questions about sexuality?

http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2015/11/11/mormon_anti_gay_apostate_policy_forces_thousands_to_leave_the_lds_church.html The news coverage is essential. I hope my family will wake up and recognize the indefensible actions on this organization.

The 'like' number is interesting considering today secular humanist page posted a picture of the BOM and blacked out lettering from front cover. The lettering on the book now reads Book of Moron another Testament of Sh$t. But the point is this post has 2.2 thousand 'likes'. It's a lot of likes for a picture. It was surprising to see on my FB page, but I thought it was funny. And no, I d

Brandywine, Interestingly enough, the private Hawaiian schools that only permit Hawaiian students "to the extent allowed by federal law", teaches traditional Hawaiian practices in a manner that preserves the integrity of the culture and the Hawaiian history. That being said, Kamehameha Schools require their male students to wear their hair in a buzz cut. I'm a public school teac

When will church PR learn the more they talk the further from mainstream they take the church? LDS will always be a peculiar people. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/09/26/sunday-nights-blood-moon-prediction-irksome-some-mormons/72883024/
