The college I teach at sponsored a community wide trunk or treat this year. Very festive even though it was cold. 200 “trunks” decorated, passing out everything from candy to Mardi Gras beads. Rented a pop corn machine and a cotton candy machine. Giant bubbles, bobbing for apples and donuts. Costume contest, dance contest. It was a pretty good evening.

We are lucky to live where there is a drive in - last Friday night we saw the Avengers movie, tonight we are going to see Ugly Dolls and a dog movie that just came out. Yes, but unlike my parents the food I have stored is edible. It isn’t stored for the end of times either. I have food storage in case my husband or I would lose or job, or a natural disaster occurs. We put out a huge garden and I can the produce. What I don’t can is given to a food bank and shelter.
