Hey Cabbie. Couldn't agree with you more about fly fishing and the main reason I live in Montana. Bring those great fly fishing rods up to Big Sky! We'll go wet a line. You have my email.

My aunt and uncle are on a senior mission for their stake in the heart of the Utah. They showed up at my nephews wedding wearing their missionary badges, which was very strange. They get released soon and said they are looking forward to a vacation. What a huge waste of time. Retiring is for vacations not a continued drain on time.

The SLC Temple went through an outside refurbish in the early 2000s. The Angel Moroni was removed and also refurbished. A number of news outlets reported it had damage related to gunfire.

My job frequently takes me into Yellowstone Park. The Mormons are easily identifiable and have the "look". It's not even necessary to see their garments hanging out below their shorts.

My father arranged for me to have lunch with a family friend when I was of mission age. We were sitting in his office when his assistant called to say Paul H. Dunn was in the reception area to see him. I soon realized that I had been ambushed. Dunn spent the next hour letting me know it was my duty. I never did go on a mission. A year later, all the lies that Dunn had told over the

It seems every photo of Russ has Wendy hanging on his arm. I don't recall a time when the spouse of a church leader was so prominently displayed in its publications. I was told years ago by a person who worked at Bonneville Media that LD$ Inc. rarely showed pictures of spouses because it made the leaders look even older to the audience. It's the same reason Orrin Hatch is never seen in

The executive producer is Geralyn White Dreyfous. Her documentaries have won major awards (Sundance). I would imagine this documentary will be thorough and another embarrassing, public view of LD$ Inc.'s history. I hope they do a deep dive into the specific documents the church purchased from Hoffman. Hopefully more current members will realize LD$ Inc. has been trying desperately to hi

https://www.redlodge.com/bearcreek/ I concur on the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody. It's worth a half day for sure. Check out the pig races at the Bear Creek Lodge on Friday nights. They make a mean steak and in between bites, you can put $5 on your favorite swine to take first place. I live in Bozeman and am affiliated with Yellowstone Park. Ping me at jddavisster@gmail.com if I ca

Yellowstone Park coyotes have learned to travel near paved roads because they know wolves don't like to be near roads or people. Wolves are coyotes biggest predator in Yellowstone. It's not uncommon to have a coyote walk right by people or hang out in a parking lot. Coyotes outside of Yellowstone have learned to run like hell when they see a human because it's likely a rancher with a high

The Cumorah newsletter was very interesting. Under the Locations Recently Reached category the only U.S. listing is Browning, Montana. It's an Native American reservation for the Blackfeet tribe and one of the poorest communities in the lower 48. A majority of the reservation is without cell and internet service. It's a very sad situation, especially since the Browning is just east of Glaci

I remember the Park City genealogy center was part of LD$ Inc.'s strategy to attract investigators during the 2002 Olympics. Just like Mitt's "Mormon moment" presidential run where LD$ Inc. thought it could market itself as a religion and not a cult, the genealogy center went away. Having the center on Main Street in Park City had to have been pricey rental space.

Going to the annual Miller ski movie in the 70s and 80s brings back great memories. They seemed to hit Salt Lake City just prior to the Labor Day ski sales at Wolfe's Sporting Goods stores. Highland High School was usually the only place in the valley for the one night only viewing. My first ever driving date was a Warren Miller movie.

Yes, there are Mormons who are great people beginning with my family. My parents, sibling, nieces and nephews are all TBM. They all know I believe it's a cult and support me as an ex-Mormon. The last conversation I had with my parents (who are now 80) about my disbelief was 25 years ago. My mother brought up the "we'll be in the celestial kingdom without you" guilt trp. I respon

Misty indicates at the bottom of the story that she is a "prepper" and a "emergency preparedness major" Her real reason for feeling not good enough was due to her knowing she didn't have enough canned peaches and wheat for the zombie apocalypse. Now get to canning and grinding wheat Misty! You won't make it out alive!

In the 60's and 70's the Walker Bank building roof sign would blink on and off indicating a storm was on the way. At the time, it was one of the taller buildings in SLC and the sign was visible throughout the valley.

I agree. LD$ Inc. will always bring in proven white men, over 65, who have always climbed the typical GA ladder. Bishop, stake president, mission president, 70 then BAM, a GA. Throw in a good Mo stock last name. There is too much risk for a younger GA to realize the truth and actually jump ship. I feel like it's one of the reasons we'll never see a GA leave LD$ Inc.
