In Salt Lake City non-Mormons get tired of Mormons running the show. Thankfully things aren't quite as bad as they used to be. There is more diversity than there was in the 80's and 90's.

I would turn it off completely and then disconnect the power cable from both the wall and the printer. Then reconnect the power to the printer, to the wall, and finally turn on and try it. I work in IT and I'm surprised at how often completely disconnecting the power fixes printer problems.

It's interesting to me that you would "come out" to your mother when you are happily married. Why fuel a fire that doesn't need to be lit? Just curious about that. Sounds like a difficult thing to do.

Rules, rules, rules. Lots of rules for the sheeple to follow. God forbid someone think a non-approved thought.

The LDS Church needs to teach men to be respectful of women, even if they are showing shoulders, thighs, or God forbid -- cleavage. I was never a good little LDS girl. I briefly converted and was never temple worthy. I used to wear sleeveless dresses to church and the men acted like I was some sort of half-dressed hussy. I guess they prefer their fat ass wives with ugly shin-length dres

My ex husband used to take my daughter to the LDS Church on occasion. I noticed that when she went for several weeks she started to get a superior attitude. I always listen to Christian rock on the radio while in the car. One day she asked if it was "Mormon" and when I said it wasn't she turned up her nose a bit. I nipped that right in the bud. I managed to get a Divorce De

As per the 11th Article of the LDS Faith, you can worship according to the dictates of your own conscience. Your conscience couldn't take praising the likes of a skirt-chasing conman. Good for you! :)

You might want to try some meetup groups. They have singles groups for 30's and over, 40's and over, etc. I wouldn't put myself through the hell of going to a church sponsored singles activity. Get out and meet some different people who aren't in a sheeple mindset. ;)

I'm 37 and freaking out about getting close to 40. I try to take good care of myself and my face looks pretty young still. I'm lucky that I have a slim figure, too. But since I'm a divorced single mom I worry that time is running out to find a good life partner.

I love Casting Crowns and a bunch of other Christian music, too. Last weekend my daughter and I got to meet Hollyn, Capital Kings, Danny Gokey, and Kristian Stanfill with VIP passes to their concert in Salt Lake.

That's irresponsible. But hey, that's the Mormon way. Let everyone else pay your way.

No one tells me that. A lot of people that I know are Christians, Mormons, or some other religious affiliation. Atheists are the odd men out in my world.

Many mainstream Christian religions do not accept that Mormons are Christians. I would have to say NO. No, Mormons are NOT CHRISTIANS. Mormons have a lot of funky doctrine and like to be known as the one true church. So they can keep their weirdness and leave Christianity to the Christians.

I work for a school district and I don't see that religion is part of education, other than saying "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. But the individuals who attend school (the students) may be religious and the teachers / staff may be, too. I think that's what pisses some people off. They don't want anyone to be religious or spiritual at all.

Why don't they just call it a Logic or Science club? They just want to stir the pot. I think it's shitty when people stir the pot just to "prove a point" about religion being in schools. Sorry, but lots of people still believe in God.

Send in a letter of resignation. I, too, succumbed to being baptized against my better judgement. I had told the bishop that morning that I didn't want to be baptized (I'm a Christian). He said that my name was already on the program. I should have stuck to my guns and said no. I felt better after I officially resigned. I don't want to be counted among those who are LDS. It's a cult st

Convicted pedophiles should be exterminated swiftly and without remorse on the first offense. Anyone who would violate the innocence of a child deserves a bullet right between the eyes.
