No, it can't beat you, you must stay strong. Take for example Nancy Rigdon, she was only 19 and refused to be horny Joe's wife although she had a lot to lose, she resisted. And you can beat the cult, just believe in yourself no matter what happen. You are not the black sheep, you are not a worthless soul, you are badassadam, you are a good, sincere and brave person (you have to be very brave

I guess our life was never completely our's while we were TBM's. And life is for sure difficult, but the thing is that we only suffer because we are simply good people (bad people just don't care about anything) and we must be happy for that. And I'm sure that if God exists he/she/it appreciates good people and doesn't care about some stupid handshakes. Sometimes my health kinda sucks (less

In my last meeting with the bishop He called softie, coward and satan follower (not in the same phrase), for not wanting to go to a mission. And that was my last day in the church.

I mostly agree with Adam but I would add that take into account where you are, I mean mormonism is not a common religion, is a cult, so be careful (specially with your children). Brainwashing is a dangerous thing.

I decided not to go to a mission, but after knowing the truth I had a dream where I was in a big building from TSCC, where everyone were TBM's including my parents and me, but I knew the truth and I wanted my parents to know it but I was surrounded by TBM's so I just wanted to be outside of that horrible building and take my parents with me (they weren't divorced in the dream LOL) in a way they w

Great and hilarious post Anagrammy. And about this: - The Earth is the spirit world, where the billions of deceased spirits now live. In fact, there are spirits all around us right now, yet we cannot see them and they cannot see us, thanks to "the veil." Taught by LDS Church Institute instructors - still need reference. I don't have the reference but I remember to be taught a

I remember talking about this scripture in EQ, and listening to things such as "we have to treat everyone well... we have to be an example of righteousness... We have to take into account that every person is a spiritual son of our heavenly father... Because the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. So, I think TBM's interpret the scripture in the same way as me, but lots of them

To me: DyC 18:10 : Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God. Sometimes I wonder how many TBM's remember this when they speak with and about an Ex Mo, a Never Mo, a LGBT, a person from another religion .... To sum up a person whose beliefs or values are different from theirs.

But the cleaning wouldn't be symbolic LOL. I imagine a movie where satan says: If you don't clean properly this temple this day, you will be in my power.

No, I didn't. Neither did the missionaries in my ward/stake (not a single one), and as I was a convert I never felt bad for doing it.

The asphalt world by Suede. I used to ignore it because of it's length (9:25 minutes) but then I listened to it and loved it, and now it's my favourite song LOL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLnc4RZLDDU

Last year my health totally sucked and I didn't ignore it but I thought that it sucked because of me, you know when you think you are in god's church you just ignore the fact that all the pressure of being a TBM is causing your health problems.

Living in a place where the only clothes available are the temple clothes (endowment ones). And the only music available is the one which attract the spirit. A Weird and boring hell.
