PRIMUS!!!! I am glad yo're back. It has indeed been a long time. I hope all is well and I am looking forward to your sense of humor and positive spin you always gave me. WOW. Primus is back!! I have really missed you. When I first came here in late 2003, you were Seneca, a regular poster and as I came to realize the fraud, I think the only thing that kept me sane was your famous wit. I spilled m

I am no legal expert, but I noticed a glaring omission by the church lawyers. While reading through the updates posted here, I came to realize that their arguments centered around the character and authority of Tom Phillips to bring these charges. They also attacked the lawsuit itself, calling it vexatious, etc. But I didn't see a clear logical refutation of the charges. They didn't deny wrongd

"Governments are instituted of God, for the benefit of Man." Wow, just two questions; 1. Is this the same government that BY advocated overthrowing? 2. What about the governments of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot, were they instituted of God as well?

I live in Keizer, on the North side of Salem. I grew up here in the mid-valley, northwest Oregon. I'm a retired steelworker, so I don't know much about teachers situations here. Portland teachers union just settled a contract, so there won't be a strike issue for several years. Oregon is a beautiful place to live. Lots of outdoor activities, and places to go and see. Half way between coast an

My SIL, TO THIS DAY, is so proud of the fact that she can go online to find any information she needs, but in the very same sentence says that she never uses the internet. Because the internet is evil.

Absolutely! I have two pairs and I am wearing them quite often. I love them. they are the most comfortable shoes I own, besides my house slippers. I have owned one pair for three years now, and still has the same tread. They never wear out. Caveat: My wife tried them at the same time I bought mine, and her toes are short stubby things. She had a lot of trouble even getting them on, and they we

I've done this with JW's; They used to come to my door 20 years ago, every other week! Drove me crazy, one Sunday Morning I had just gotten to bed, I worked graveyard shift, and the door bell rang. Yep, it was them. so I got up out of bed, and answered the door. No, I didn't put on a robe. I was naked except for the skivies I wore. Not exactly naked, but next to it. It was two couples. The womnen

TSCC is a giant ponzi scheme, run like a corporation, with a church as a storefront. Not mine, I got that from someone here a few months ago, but it fits perfectly.

Dietary cults: Years ago, my former SIL, living in LA, decided that she needed these hormone shots that were supposed to help her loose weight. Caveat: These shots will only work if you are dedicated to getting a shot once a week, and maintain a dietary intake of 1000 calories per day. Oh yeah, and the shots cost $500 apiece. we were over to her house for dinner around that time, and she s

so I heard this when I was a kid. I thought that we all had to do the genealogy on our own. But my TBM brother has done it all for our family. He has been so thorough as to have done some of the temple work on our long lost relatives. Admiral thing to do. Give all our ancestors the saving ordinances of the temple. My TBM brother has done everything for our family. Then I heard that it was

If th builders of their temples think that building a foundation over ground that is saturated enough to produce a spring, it shouldn't be too long before sink holes develop under them and they all start falling down. The increased cost of building like that is not the way a corporation should be run.

I will try and make it. I have wanted to come up for months, but I always remember the week after, or something comes up. The wife is out of town and gets back Tuesday, not sure when, but I will make it if I can. It would be good to put some faces to these names.

Older or Younger sibling? I have an older TBM brother, and there is no way he will ever come and ask me anything, even if he doubts. He is aware of my feelings for tscc, but my father's indoctrination of how important it is to be the first born is so strong he will never confide in me. I'm only the second son,my opinion will never be as important as his.

Go see a lawyer and ask that the child support sgreement be altered to reflect the additional expenses you are being asked to pay. If the judge agrees, she will take a hit on child support and that may convince her to at least work with you, although I doubt it. usually in these situations, the other side sees things much differently than you do.
