I expect in 10 years or so to have million new members in India. Indians do not drink coffee or alcohol and value education like the LDS so a lot of common values.

I have been invited to a mission call envelope opening this weekend. The family thinks since it is a small envelope that the mission will be stateside rather than overseas. Is there any truth to this.

The time will come when truth shall cover the earth as water covers the mighty deep. I have no doubt at all but what we are on our way to do that. You and I are on the scene of the missionary work in the greatest and, shall I say, the most exciting period in the history of this world, certainly within the history of this dispensation. We ought to feel a thrill at being a part of that tremendously

You are incorrect. LDS is the fastest growing religion in the world. Missionary age was lowered since many people in the world want to convert but their are not enough missionaries out in the field to convert everyone who want to become LDS.

I think many here over state how dire the situation is as far as activity and retention rates for the LDS. I know many LDS families and they are all active and all of their children are going on missions and convert lots of people. I think this board is not very factual but has a lot of bitter people who were formerly LDS. The LDS I know all remind me of Ned Flanders from the Simpsons all good C

It will be a good recruiting tool such as mishies visiting potential converts and having coffee and pastries. Coffee ban turns off potential converts.

I know a lot of LDS families and they are all happy campers, very chipper, nice people, and all of their 18 year old kids are so excited to go on missions. I do not see any declines but I do not see them getting any high quality families to join.
