The other night my wife approached me and asked if I wanted to go out and get new underwear because of my dissatisfaction with the church. I have been wanting to do this for a while, but for some reason just couldn't bring myself to do it. I had stopped wearing the tops a couple of weeks ago. Well as of tonight, I went to the store and picked up some boxer shorts. I am finally free of wearing tho

I purposely grew facial hair and wouldn't wear a tie. If I would have known about the tapir I would have worn a tapir pin as well or possibly a salamander pin, but that might have been to obvious.

I had showed her the stone in the hat article sometime ago when it first came out. She was quiet afterwards and when I pressed her to see what she thought she only told me she didnt know a lot about church history and we moved on. The night I shared with her the essay on polygamy, I also told her about the essay about the Book of Abraham, she didnt say anything about it. I told her there were lot

The other night I was having a hard time getting to sleep, I kept thinking about some of the things that I have learned about recently. Things that I had always thought were anti mormon lies. I had heard a good deal of things on my mission, but never gave them much weight until the essays started coming out and started looking into myself. My wife couldnt sleep either so I told her that these thi

If you are in the same ward or perhaps even the same stake, I would imagine they could find out pretty easily. Otherwise, I think they could still find out, but it would require some digging and a call or two.

Sounds like a tough situation, I am by no means an expert of what to do in marriage, only an expert of what not to do! So take this for its worth. Here is my perspective on it though, you sound like you are really only together for the kids at this point. Once the kids are grown and moved out, whats going to keep you together? I have heard many marriages end once the kids move out, but I cant

Considering that the continents have been slowly drifting apart during this 4000 year period, this "evidence" is moot. Just because the current moves that fast doesnt mean that a boat/barge would travel that fast. Storms would surely push that time frame out, but I suppose god could make it nice and sunny. I mean after all, he wouldnt want to rock the boat to much with all those bee

Here is how I see it. You will need to keep up appearances, you will need to go to church, possibly have some kind of calling and you wont be able to be open about your beliefs. After all you need that bishop endorsement, and that wont come unless you are doing those things. But maybe you are the type that can fake it until you make it and you can keep up the appearances long enough to get throug

I can believe that. I used to work for a cable provider years ago and managed employee accounts. One of our call centers was in Orem. I managed everything to their programming and their bills, so I saw everything they ordered. Orem was by the far the call center with the highest percentage of employees with adult themed programming on their account, mostly the Playboy TV channel though.

I was thinking about relationships I had with people over the last several years with people in the morg and started to think how those relationships developed over time. I quickly realized that I havent made a single friend within the church. The closest I came is my wife making a friend and we would periodically go to their house and play some games and have a dinner, but we havent done that in

According to wiki, they have 19,000+ members world wide. Not huge by any means, but still a healthy dose of members. Here is the wiki that has a bit more information than their website https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Church_of_Jesus_Christ_(Bickertonite)

I was reading about sects of mormonism that broke off since its inception and came across this one http://www.thechurchofjesuschrist.org/locations?view=map It seems to me as far as mormonism goes, they seem to make the most sense and have been rather inclusive. I was wondering if anyone came from there or has attended their meetings? How close are they to the morg? Other than believing the

The only fans of BYU I know are TBM. I never cheered for them, I wish them injury and losses every season and glory in their losses. I was wondering if anyone stays a fan after going exmo?

Yeah, when I came out I told her that I was fine with the kids going to church if THEY wanted to do it. I didnt want them to feel like they had to do something because someone was expecting it. She has respected this and doesnt put up a fight when the kids say they want to stay home.

So me and my wife were having an intimate moment when all of a sudden she asks what time it is. I lean over and look at my alarm clock and tell her. She springs up and yells out the door for the kids to start getting ready for church. Ugh! REALLY?! Both my kids decided to stay home with me. My wife looked a little deflated walking out the door heading to church, I had hoped she was going to s

Both my kids stayed home with me today! Its been fun so far, we built some legos and my eyes really hurt now. My wife went alone today, hopefully soon she will see that its more important to be with her family rather than going to a church that cares more about her money than her.

When Directv was acquired by ATT, they wanted to lower costs by 20%. Part of doing that was to get local affiliates to agree to a lower payout. Directv carries the channels, but they still have to pay out to each channel. Everyone has different costs, but its normally depending on the number of subscribers. ESPN for example costs ~$5 per subscriber. When DTV told KSL (and I assume many others
