Here's one of my most vivid memories of the 60s and it has to do with MORONS. 1969. I was 18. A bunch of friends and I decide to go to California, where one lived. We were all college students and one of us had a van. Nothing special, just a white van. We all went to Colorado State U., so our route took us through Salt Lake. While there, we decided to go see the temple, went into the museum an

Well, it was a bad year/day for the two mishies that came to my door. They got an earful about Joe Smith and what a cult is - a good 20 minutes worth before they escaped. They didn't even know who the Moonies were. All done lovingly, of course. I kept asking them if they had enough to eat lately and when they last talked to their moms.

I've posted this before, but the MOs not only left a plate of chocolate chip cookies unsolicited at a friend's house, but they OPENED the door and stuck them inside. Mega bucks at the vet after her dog ate them. Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. She was in the back yard, but from then on, she locked her door, even when home. This was in Kanab.

NDEs can be explained scientifically, google NDE Michael Sherman. As for the reality, all I can say, as an athiest, it thank Gaia. No more worrying that someone I love will be thrust into hell or outer darkmess, or even that I will be. No more wondering if ghosts exist or spirits watching. It's all BS. And there's real closure in knowing someone's spirit isn't around after they're dead, bei

Yes, I went to college - even to graduate school - and I was addicted to the conspiracy - BEWARE - it really makes you want to know more and more about it, to the point you just keep reading more and more science and stuff, thinking it makes your brain feel good. /sarc

Watch out for "soul mates." Usually it's a narcissist mirroring you and making you think they really understand you. Run like hell.

In my experience, someone that paranoid is projecting their own guilt. IOW, sounds like she may be cheating on you or at least thinking about it a lot.

Is this the same Snow who had a young man castrated because he refused to concede his girlfriend to Snow? The same SOB that Snow Canyon is named after and also Snow College? Yeah, the Morons know how to pick their righteous leaders, eh?

A friend of a friend was disabled in an accident and applied for SS. She had to go through so much to even be considered, then was denied and had to go even further with all the hoopla. In the meantime, she was unable to work and ended up totally homeless, sleeping on couches and even camping in a tent, eating in soup kitchens. Her friends helped her as much as possible. She had been a hard worki

The saying goes, when you get older, you get to pick your family. People who treat you like that don't deserve to be family. I say divorce them and move on.

the morg, as bad as it is, has inspired people to be good. Let me fix that for you: the morg, as bad as it is, has intimidated people into being good.

It's like the cartoon where the family is praying over their dinner, thanking Jesus. The next frame shows a Mexican worker in the field saying, "You're welcome."

I'm a never Mo who's lived in Utah for a number of years. I've always found Pioneer Days to be a fraudulent joke. My family were all pioneers (Colorado) but not Mormon, and I'm a direct descendent of a few famous people (General Davidson in the Rev. War, for example), but we never bragged about it to anyone, yet alone made ourselves to be superior like the Mormons do. It's totally arrogant and di

There's an article in this week's Moab paper where they interview a long-time local and he states that when he was growing up and before Moab got more diverse, he figured he was related to 80% of the town. He looks to be in his 60s. His family was among the original settlers there.

I had a sister like that. I left her behind. Google malignant narcissism for lots of answers. You know all about it if your mom is NPD, but it often runs in the family. Odds are good your sister is also a narcissist. Just leave your family behind. It's the only recourse you have with narcissism. It's hard, but it's way better in the long run.

This is the RIGHT place: Major earthquake zone Salty water Prone to harsh winters (lake effect snow) etc. The main reason Briggy liked it was because it was REMOTE and he could do whatever he wanted.
