Bishop Isaac Milton Rood drove his 1974 Lincoln Continental into the Minnesota Minnitiwoka 4th Ward parking lot, and was surprised to see a great number of cars parked there. "Hmmmm, Bishop Duffuss of the Minnitiwoka 3rd Ward must be holding a special meeting of something. I'll just go into my office to catch up on some important paperwork and tithing embezzlement. Rent is coming due.&qu

My wife who is TBM offered to let the Elders when they dropped by last night the opportunity to call their dads, and one said that if he called his dad from his mission when he wasn't supposed to his dad would get PISSED. (or mad) and that the best way that he could honor his father was by keeping the mission rules. What a bunch of BS

I've been so busy lately. Don't have time to post. Sometimes do at NOM. Just lucky I was looking now actually. Opened up a new business and been working 70 hours a week. Run a childcare center with my wife.

AP-Salt Lake Citywok- In a move to shore up it's financial situation, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will now start tacking on a 50 dollar 'moving fee' for any time the Elders Quorum of High Priest Group members are used to help a member of the congregation move in or out. The money will of course be required to be sent directly to Church headquarters where the proper priestho

I used to live next door to this guy. Arrogant SOB. Writing those silly 'The President of the US of A Visits the Prophet' etc., books. He was such a TBM too. I wonder if he has been having testimony problems? Naaaaaaa. But this may be a damper on his goal to be a GA one day.

So the owner of a local business in the same line of work as we are was recently arrested for selling Marijuana illegally. It's a childcare center btw. So DW went down and offered help in case DEL shut them down and transport kids to our center. DW later posted some stuff on facebook and another place and the dd of the owner called and reamed her out, so she removed her fb posts, and said why

I was wondering if anyone of you have tried it and what the results were. Actually, here, I suppose I know the answer already. It didn't work. How can you UNknow what you know? I sometimes think it would make life so much easier being blissfully ignorant of all the facts I do know. SIGH>

Leave aside the idea that you just want it to shut down permanently. What things would you change about the church if you could. Here is my list. Make it 'come as you are' no more of this judging people for not wearing the uniform. No talks on double earrings or tattooes or not wearing proper 'sunday attire' Or have beards or moustashes, or not being the right sexual orientation, etc. Ba

It's a gossip and masters of the universe session. "I just learned that Mr. Primus plays with his ding-dong. I need all of you to show forth a bit more love towards him and have more 'law of chastity lessons, especially if he is around."

That is the difference between Modern Prophets and Olden Day Prophets. For modern prophets it's too SACRED to discuss their afternoon coffee with Jesus, for the olden day prophets, it was no problem at all. I am sure that if one actually saw the big man, he would be shouting it from the rooftops. I figure these sacred events are no different than any of the 'spiritual' feelings we get from go

When my dw was primary president, a directive came down from the stake not to use clip art and drawings from independent artists that were being sold through Deseret Book, but to make sure to use any art via the corporation. So if Benson went TBM again, LOL, and did some kids art to use in sharing time lessons, if it wasn't approved first through the Stake or higher ups, it was a no no.

Guitars, Trombones, Tubas, greatly FROWNED upon and discouraged for musical numbers. Actually we just had a musical number recently where the lady was using a guitar like instrument. It was fantastic, one of the best in a long time. Our Bishop is a former music teacher and went on about how great it is. However, I was there on a wednesday doing some clerking and scouting for my boys, and a

So I am sitting in GD Class yesterday and they are talking about works and grace, but no one wants to address the obvious elephant in the room if you think about it... In the Book of Mormon, it says we are saved by the Grace of Christ...AFTER ALL WE CAN DO. Even as a TBM did you EVER do ALL that you could do? Neither did I. So Christ gives us grace, but we have to be perfect to obtain it

That this woman probably hasn't thought through what she is saying...because she's pregnant.(eeeeewwwww, now that was kind os sexist of me. 8^)) That being said, I remember when I was working at a large call center when I was younger. There was a very pregnant woman sitting across from me taking a call. She suddenly stands up and says "HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME THAT WAY!!!! HOW DARE YOU!

Bishop Isaac Milton Rood was fuming mad. "You WON'T be a Mormon if I have anything to do with IT!!!" he screamed as he watched Brother Gerbershine, one of his semi-active, more radical members of the Minnesota Cannondale 15th Speed Ward finish speaking on the commercial. He had been trying to get this guy into full activity for the last year and a half, and here the guy was on nat

I thought it would be interesting for them to all take talks from the 60s, redo them verbatim and see if anyone even noticed.

Getting hungry while riding your bicycle home from your job, praying to God that you might have enough money to buy yourself Fried Chicken on the way because you are starving? Feeling relieved when God has answered your prayers, yet after eating, feeling guilty about all the starving people in Africa? No, well then you probably aren't a General Authority for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-D

for me was when Hinckley did that interview with King and Mike Wallace. "are you a prophet?" "I am sustained as such.." "Can you become Gods?" "I don't know that we teach that, I am familiar with the concept, as God is man may become...etc." I am probably misquoting, however, if you are a TRUE prophet, why not be bold like Moses in the OT, or the

It's a race to see who can outlive the others the longest. The way to the top is either through superior genes and longevity, or quietly removing others from the gene pool through 'other means of manipulation.'

Is it kind of like leaving congress, but you still get to draw some sort of living allowance? ie. you get 80% of the 100k you were making or whatever before. However, if you DON'T get emeritus status, your pension is cut off?
