Son has a "friend" who is continually pressuring him to come to church and activities and it makes me dislike them more and more. I had a phone interview and passed their testing phase with flying colors (etiquette, typing, etc). Was asked for an on-site interview tomorrow. I feel so nervous and worried about the "home town advantage" I do not have. I just hope all goes well.

I charged $150 for the wedding cake I just did and that did not even cover my time at minimum wage. So, yeah you weren't just out $10. I am sorry for how you were treated. That's crap. She doesn't deserve you. Give the relationship a break and if she can grow up then okay..highly doubtful.

I was not told until I got there. Then they laid down rules. Because of some lace I had to wear a solid white shell thing, my train had to be up, i had to wear the tenple garb. I was angry. I remember distinctly being mad. I thought even then it was dumb. The temple matron actually tried to get me to wear a tenple dress and I refused. That made me feel worse.

Didn't the church just come out and state-boldly mind you, that the book of abraham was not a literal translation but inspired scripture. This goes directly against all we have been taught. Doesn't it? The more the PR dept speaks the worse it gets.

It's not original either or revelation: I was watching the Amish show on TLC and a quote came accross that said "if you must doubt, doubt your doubts, not your beliefs". I thought that was interesting and made me a bit irritable.

Amen Susie! John Dehlin's information helped me out. I am forever grateful for the man! This board was much too much for me when I first left and Dehlin's podcasts were better on my brainwashed ears. Now I listen to dehlin less and come here often. I am grateful for what he does.. He puts the info out there and you do with it as you please. I agree too that he will fully leave and announce
