My TBM grandmother goes to McDonalds every day and gets her diet coke. In the old days of South Jordan Utah, when it was rural, she used to walk down to the Maverik and get her huge mug every day but Sunday (and sent ME that day, as I have always pretty much been destined to ride the ol' handbasket down to hell).

To me, it explains how tiny kids can play musical instruments, or the way Tiger Woods got so good at golf so early, stuff like that. Then there's the fact that sometimes you meet someone and it's an instant "click" like you've known them before. I have always found reincarnation to be a fascinating idea as well, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

you develop peripheral neuropathy. There is no pain like neuropathy pain! Judging from the spelling of "programme", you are not living in the only industrialized nation on earth that doesn't offer health care coverage for all of its citizens, therefore you have access to care right away (here in the US, insulin is over $100 a vial if you don't have insurance). Best Wishes!

I have a 20 year old son who is not, and never was, interested in going on a mission. The minute he turned 19, leaders and members of the ward were quick to let him know they would help pay for one.

I lived with my grandparents most of the time from '69 on. We had two boys staying at our house, one Navajo and one Zuni. One stole stuff all the time and wasn't invited back, the other stayed on through high school. He taught me how to do a headstand, and was an amazing artist. I don't ever remember hearing about the "white and delightsome" thing, but I never paid attention to church s

Loved the kilt the young man was wearing, and the beautiful photo of Elizabeth on the cover. Does anyone know what the husband does for a living?

After my mother died in '03, I rented a big bin from the city and proceeded to clean out her little storage area. It was amazing, all the mouse-poop covered cans and 40 lb container of crystallized honey crammed into that small space. My mother did not make much money (taught special ed), yet she followed the council of the attorneys, business owners, etc. that run the church, and had that food s

Friend of mine was going to BYU on an academic scholarship, studying microbiology, was waiting for missionary. Met older RM at Thanksgiving, engaged at Christmas, married in March. Needless to say, she gave up her scholarship, moved to some podunk village in central Utard to raise goats and have her many babies at home. Still married as far as I know for 25 years.

I went to our local Greek festival awhile back, and took the informational tour inside the church. I quite liked it, ikons and all. Just wondering if anyone has gone from LDS to (Eastern) Orthodox Christian and how you got started on your path.

I did it because I haven't believed for years, and because my grandmother changed the will (that grandpa RIP had drawn up) so that her (paid for) house will go immediately to Deseret Trust instead of allowing me (with disability) and my adult children to live there as long as taxes and utilities were paid when she dies. She decided we couldn't afford it, even after going over and over the budget
