I lived in Utah county as a single man for over 20 years. Can't remember how many people ask me why I wasn't married. Got so I answered,, Why is that any of your business? Why would you ask me that?

Not for me. Never considered my self a true Mormon. The small farm town I was raised in was all Mormon. I went along to get along. About a week after I graduated HS, I left and never looked back. I had a wonderful and understanding family. I got out about 1960. Never regretted it.

I lived in Utah county for over 24 years. I was self employed much of that time. Worked in the building construction trade. Almost every Mormon I done business with screwed me over by short changing me or asking for more product than we agreed on. I got so I wouldn't do business with certain companies. I finally closed up, sold my property and left the state. Best thing I ever done.

I got my divorce in the early 80's. I felt a sense of freedom and could live life the way I wanted to. I never remarried and enjoy my solitary life. It worked for me, maybe not all people..

Why would want back in? It is a depressing, controlling, time wasting, guilt trip system. Don't give them the satisfaction of wanting anything from the Mormons. Enjoy your life and move on,,

I lived in Utah valley many years. I have seen it so dark the sun couldn't shine. Much worse than in LA. Seen the snow turn brown. So glad to be out of there.

I was and my youngest sister. She was gay and never tried to hide it. As I got older and bigger a lot of it stopped. After I got in to a fight and put the bishops son in the hospital, I was invited not to return. After I got out of jail, dad said he was proud of me.

They broke up mine, many years ago. Have seen many, many good families destroyed because of their need for control. Had a neighbor lady in Utah, divorced her good husband because he was not Mormon. Now she is alone with 3 kids, controlled by the church and miserable. This is a "true" church?

The Mormons want your time, your money, control of who you are friends with. Do some research and study and listen to others who were sucked in. Read the book, No Man Knows My History. It is a well oiled and controlling, very rich organization. take your time and do research. Keep in touch,, good luck
